ME
Curiosity, Compassion, and Communication help children explore, understand feelings, develop voice, and learn more about themselves.
WE
Connection, Cooperation, and Collaboration help children practice relationships, teamwork, listening, shared problem-solving, and trust.
COMMUNITY
The journey comes together as children recognize that their ideas, choices, relationships, and actions can positively impact something larger than themselves.
Every C Opens
a New Door.
Each principle strengthens a different part of a child's social, emotional, and relational development—but the real power comes from experiencing how all seven work together.
Curiosity
Curiosity begins with wonder. Children learn to ask questions, explore possibilities, notice what is around them, and discover that learning can begin with a simple thought: “I wonder…”
Asking questions, experimenting, investigating new ideas, imagining possibilities, and learning without fear of getting everything right the first time.
Compassion
Compassion helps children recognize feelings—their own and those of others—and understand that caring can become an action.
Noticing when someone needs help, naming feelings, considering another person's perspective, offering kindness, and responding with care.
Communication
Communication is more than speaking. Children learn to express thoughts and feelings clearly while also listening to understand the voices around them.
Sharing ideas, listening without interrupting, asking for help, explaining needs, giving feedback, and learning how words and actions affect others.
Connection
Connection helps children recognize what brings people together. Through shared experiences, interests, stories, and understanding, relationships begin to grow.
Finding common ground, welcoming others, building friendships, respecting differences, sharing experiences, and developing healthy relationships.
Cooperation
Cooperation teaches children how to work alongside others toward a shared goal. Everyone has a role, and every contribution matters.
Sharing materials, taking turns, following a group plan, helping teammates, resolving small conflicts, and contributing to a common goal.
Collaboration
Collaboration goes beyond working beside one another. Children learn to combine ideas, perspectives, talents, and strengths to create something that none of them could have created alone.
Building on another person's idea, solving problems together, giving and receiving feedback, assigning roles, creating as a team, and celebrating shared success.
Community
Community is where the journey comes together. Children discover that they belong to something larger—and that their choices, talents, ideas, and actions can help that community thrive.
Participating, helping others, caring for shared spaces, creating solutions, celebrating differences, serving the community, and recognizing: “I have something meaningful to contribute.”
